Does anyone still read this? Nothing's really changed in terms of hosts so I still have no plans to re-upload stuff for this blog but if you are after stuff from here then send me an email with the files you want and your preferred webhost (rapidshare, mediafire, etc) and I will upload it for you. Don't ask for 50gigs worth of stuff or I will ignore you.

I said i would post again after a month to update people on whats happening. Since my last post rapidshare have introduced 30kb/s download restrictions which are about as much fun as sitting on a Judas Cradle. None of the other web hosts are stable enough for me to trust them for long term storage so I really have no other choice but to leave this blog to collect dust.

I'm still posting new stuff over at ATT and when time permits i have reseeded some old stuff for members. Some other members have also been torrenting some of the videos i posted here so if you are after some old Ashes or 93/94 Aus-SA or 05/06 Pak-Eng then sign up at ATT and download the torrents that piethpker has made.

I wont close this blog as it's a good archive and people can use it to see what I have, but this will probably be my last post here.

2008 - Eng v NZ - Tests

Thanks for all the support over the last couple of days via the comments section, youtube PM's and emails. I'll think about my decision to retire while I finish off the videos i promised. I've chosen rapidshare because it doesnt need captchas so we'll see how this goes. Megaupload was rare in that you could leave a batch of files running overnight in jdownloader and they'd be done by morning but most file sharing sites need captchas which require manual input. I dont think i've downloaded a batch from rapidshare so not sure how this goes, if you download these then post a reply with how it went for you.


If anyone knows a good file hoster then let me know. Someone suggested mediafire but I had a look there and it said max file size is 200megs and that's just a bit too small for me. 1gig would be better.

RIP Megaupload

For those that have been living under a rock: megaupload has been shut down by the feds. With megaupload goes my 15 months of uploading and about 500gigs of cricket videos that I had hosted there.

I'm not going to take the moral high ground here, I'm aware that I hosted copyrighted DVD content, but 95% of my content was not commercially available and there has been a lot of collateral damage done by the removal of megaupload. Shahneelj for instance lost his collection despite him only making available content which would not otherwise be accessible.

I lost the leemann06 channel about 6 months ago and now i've lost my blog so I'm pretty disheartened. I will upload the videos I promised which were the 2008 Eng/NZ series and a t20 between Aus and India but i'll probably retire after that, I can't start all over again.

OK I'm posting what i've got from the 2003/04 Border/Gavaskar Series in Australia. Before people complain: these are not proper highlights of the matches, they are just bits and pieces from the series but it's all i've got. As you can see from the screenshot they start halfway through Australia's 1st innings, continue through India's first innings, skip Australia's 2nd innings and show a brief part of India's 2nd innings.

1961 - Eng v Aus

This was shown recently on foxsports and i recorded it. Probably only for the hardcore fans but since it was quick and easy to upload I figured this will fill a gap while I'm covering current cricket. There's a gap now between tests which should allow me a week of uploading content for the blog.

I only have tests 2 and 4 from this series. If they ever end up showing the rest (dont hold your breath) I'll update this post.

2010/11 - Aus v Eng - T20s

Just a reminder to people that sometimes megaupload makes some of my links "temporarily unavailable" so although they may appear not to work it's only temporary. It usually fixes itself within a few hours so just keep checking, if you find the file is still not working after a couple of days then let me know.

To go along with the ODIs i've uploaded the t20's from last summer as well. They are both in HD so together they are about 7 gigs.

Ideally I want to get the test highlights up but I only have the daily highlights in HD which is simply to much for me to upload. When my seedbox is fixed I might bug VB about getting a reseed but it'll be a while. Nobody has specifically asked for them so I'm not in any rush.

I've been getting a lot of emails regarding the sign-up for AcrossTheTasman. Registrations have been closed ever since Diwana was shut down in mid November (I was not aware of this until a week or two ago) and there is no invite system in place. If you are looking for my latest releases for both the Aus/India series and the SA/SL series then I recommend you look on the cricfire "download highlights" board as my encodes are usually uploaded to web hosts and posted on the forums.
