RIP Megaupload

For those that have been living under a rock: megaupload has been shut down by the feds. With megaupload goes my 15 months of uploading and about 500gigs of cricket videos that I had hosted there.

I'm not going to take the moral high ground here, I'm aware that I hosted copyrighted DVD content, but 95% of my content was not commercially available and there has been a lot of collateral damage done by the removal of megaupload. Shahneelj for instance lost his collection despite him only making available content which would not otherwise be accessible.

I lost the leemann06 channel about 6 months ago and now i've lost my blog so I'm pretty disheartened. I will upload the videos I promised which were the 2008 Eng/NZ series and a t20 between Aus and India but i'll probably retire after that, I can't start all over again.

  6. It would be great if you could continue to upload new videos (I agree with Mediaf that you don't need to upload the previous videos again). Either way, thank you for all of your videos. Your work has been very much appreciated.

  9. Mine blog is absolutely waste now. There is no point of trying new servers either because they will be next. At least, you tried - Jimpson. For that, we will remember your contribution forever.

I am going to delete my own blog now, but no clue how to do it. LOL

  10. Don't retire mate, I am urging you to carry on. Maybe you have to find a really low key server or a more full proof method, apart from torrents which you are already doing.

  12. @MB - I wasnt even aware you had a blog. I assume its the "iFollowCricket" one that is now empty. You should have told me as I would have linked you, I would have liked to see what you had.

  13. @ Jimpson.

That was recently which i have had created, contribution of past cricket series i have uploaded in Megaupload, and somehow, most of them, technically, all of them remained active till now. Decided to gather all of them together in one place - iFollowCricket (that's one). I wanted to update more, but there is no point now because if Megaupload can be taken down, so can other servers. Pretty soon, torrent sites will follow.

Now, it's all empty after reading the message from FBI, displayed on most of megaupload links. I don't wanna take any chance. So, emptied everything now.

Time will tell what is in future for us. (God knows best).

  17. Hey bro,

I really appreciate the extra effort you are putting in for us. I am as sad as you for the megaupload being shut down. Such a tragedy. I wouldn't worry about what's already gone, obviously it was bond to happen one day or the other. You cannot be held responsible for megaupload being shut down. Nonetheless, I would really appreciate if you are to continue to release all the future series, I am a member at ATT. I didn't know you hosted a blog until today. Yea, n00b. LOL

Anyways, you are doing an awesome work. Keep it up and keep going.

    Cheers!
